- Mini: Short-form vertical videos (TikTok-style) with captions and hashtags
- Stories: 24-hour temporary photos and videos
- Comments, likes, and shares on other users' content
- Communication Data:
- Aura Messages: Text messages, image attachments, video attachments, voice messages, file attachments, and location sharing between users
- Aura Calls: Voice and video call metadata including call duration, call type (voice/video), participants, call status (completed/missed/declined), and timestamps
- Social Connections: Information about who you follow, who follows you, blocked users, and your interactions with other users
2.2 Information We Collect Automatically
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers (for push notifications), mobile network information, and device settings
- Usage Data:
- How you interact with the app and its features
- Time spent on the app and specific content
- Content viewed, liked, commented on, and shared
- Call history (incoming, outgoing, missed calls with timestamps)
- Online presence status and last seen timestamps
- Location Data: Approximate location based on IP address, and precise location when you explicitly enable location services for location-tagged posts

- IP address for approximate location and security

- Call connection data for call quality optimization

- Photos and videos you capture or select for posting

2.3 Information from Third-Party Sources
- Contacts: If you grant permission, we access your device contacts (names and phone numbers) to help you find friends using Vibegyor. We match phone numbers with existing users but do not permanently store your entire contact list on our servers.
- Cloud Services: We use third-party cloud services for authentication, database, storage, push notifications, and analytics
- Social Media (Future): If you choose to connect Apple or Google accounts (currently in development), we may receive basic profile information
3. App Permissions and Why We Need Them
3.1 Camera Permission
Why we need it:
- Take photos and videos for Vibe posts, Stories, and Mini content
- Create and update your profile picture
- Enable video calls through Aura
- Share real-time camera content in messages
When we access it: Only when you actively choose to capture content or during video calls. We never access your camera in the background.
3.2 Microphone Permission
Why we need it:
- Enable voice calls through Aura calling system
- Enable audio in video calls
- Record audio for video content (Vibes, Mini, Stories)
- Send voice messages in chats
When we access it: Only during active calls, voice message recording, or video recording. We do not listen to your conversations when not actively using these features.
3.3 Photo Library/Storage Permission
Why we need it:
- Select existing photos and videos from your gallery for posts
- Save photos and videos you create to your device gallery
- Download and save media shared in messages
- Cache content locally for faster loading and offline viewing
- Store app preferences and settings
What we access: Only files you explicitly select or content you choose to save.
3.4 Contacts Permission
Why we need it:
- Help you discover which of your contacts are using Vibegyor
- Suggest friends to connect with
- Enable quick access to start Aura calls with contacts
What we do: We read contact names and phone numbers to match with existing Vibegyor users. We hash and match phone numbers for privacy. We do not permanently store your full contact list on our servers.
3.5 Location Permission (When In Use)
Why we need it:
- Add location tags to your Vibe posts and Stories
- Provide approximate location for IP-based features
- Help discover local content and users (if enabled)
What we collect: We collect location only when you're actively using the app and only if you enable this feature. Location is optional for most features.
3.6 Notifications Permission
Why we need it:
- Alert you of incoming Aura voice and video calls
- Notify you of new messages and chat activity
- Inform you of likes, comments, and shares on your posts
- Notify you of new followers and mentions
- Send important security and account alerts
When we send them: Based on your notification preferences in settings. You can customize or disable notifications at any time.

- Receive incoming calls when the app is in the background or closed

- Stories: Automatically deleted after 24 hours (unless saved as highlights)
- Messages: Stored until you delete them or until account deletion
- Call History: Stored until you delete it or until account deletion
- Cached Media: Stored on device until cache is cleared or app is uninstalled
- Analytics Data: Aggregated and anonymized data may be retained longer for app improvement
8.2 Account Deletion Process
- When you delete your account, we immediately delete your profile, posts, and personal information
- Some data may remain in backup systems for up to 30 days
- Messages sent to others remain in their chat history (they control their data)
- Comments and likes on others' posts may be anonymized rather than deleted
- We may retain certain information if legally required (e.g., for law enforcement)
9. Children's Privacy
Vibegyor is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use this app or provide any information.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at shubhendu@cybersin.in and we will delete that information from our systems.
